What Bestfix does.

Electrical work and plumbing and heating from the same engineer — which is why a fault that sits between the two doesn't need two appointments.

The engineer who turns up when it's gone dark and the water's still rising.

Bestfix is a small Guildford firm built around one person: Balazs, an electrician who also works as a plumbing and heating engineer. That combination is unusual and it's the whole point — a tripping circuit behind a boiler, a leaking radiator valve on a live floor, an immersion heater that's cooked its wiring. Those jobs normally need two trades and two waits. Here they need one visit.

The work is ordinary domestic and commercial stuff done properly: consumer units and fault finding, EICRs and safety testing, leaks, drips and pipework, boiler repairs and servicing, moving and replacing radiators, gas safety inspections, and smart-home lighting and CCTV when you want the house to do a bit more thinking. Bestfix describes itself as NICEIC-approved and Gas Safe registered.

Electrics and water, same engineer

Most jobs that start as "the boiler's playing up" turn out to be half electrical. Balazs covers both trades, so there's no second call-out and no two firms blaming each other.

Out of hours means out of hours

Bestfix advertises cover Monday to Sunday, 24 hours, 365 days a year — and the reviews back it up: one customer had a switch and burnt wiring sorted after 10pm on a Saturday.

The same face every time

Companies House lists one director, and every Google review names the same engineer. You get Balazs on the phone and Balazs at the door.

Certificates, not promises

EICRs, EICs, EPCs and gas safety inspections — the paperwork landlords, buyers and insurers actually ask for, issued after the work, in plain English.

How a Bestfix job runs.

01

Call, any hour

One number, answered by the person who'll be doing the work. Describe what's happening — the noise, the smell, the trip switch that won't stay up — and you'll get a straight answer about whether it's an emergency or something that can wait until morning.

02

Diagnose before quoting

The cause gets traced before anything is replaced. Reviewers describe exactly this: the problem diagnosed, then the switches and burnt wiring dealt with. No parts fitted on a guess, and no work starting before you know what it involves.

03

Fixed, tested, written up

Work is tested before it's signed off, and where a certificate applies — an EICR, an installation certificate, a gas safety record — you're handed it with the faults and recommendations explained rather than buried in codes.

Where Bestfix works

Guildford first, then out across Surrey and into London.

Home patch is Guildford and the surrounding Surrey towns, with regular work out towards Epsom and into London. If you're not sure whether you're in range, the quickest answer is a phone call.

Call or email — no forms

Emergencies get triaged on the phone. Everything else can go by email with a photo of the fault, which is usually the fastest route to a sensible answer.
